Seaweld Engineering Limited won the Fabrication Company of The Year 2015 and was also nominated for the Indigenous Oil & Gas Company and Engineering & Construction Company of the year award categories.

Seaweld was among the successful recipients of the Oil & Gas Ghana Awards (OGGA) held on December 4, 2015, at Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra. Now in its second year, Ghana’s leading awards ceremony for Oil and Gas features hundreds of top Oil & Gas people. The event was attended by over 300 guests, including endorsement partners, special guests and over 30 companies from the Upstream and Downstream sectors.

The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Alfred Fafali Adagbedu, received the award on behalf of the company and commented that “In times like this when the Oil and Gas sector is faced with consistent challenges, the ability of organizations as well as individuals involved in the industry to deliver good quality services, technologies, financial packages, insurance products, best practices, and initiatives to succeed is very crucial”.

He thanked the organizers of the event and all significant stakeholders for recognizing the efforts of Seaweld in the industry, especially in the area of welding & fabrication.

The premier event features keynote presentations and provides an excellent networking opportunity, exchange of information and exploring business opportunities. Attendees also benefit from inside knowledge of Ghana’s exciting hydrocarbons sector. The theme for the 2015 annual showcase was “The challenges of Surviving Low Oil Prices.”

In July 2014, Jubert Communication Limited (publishers of Offshore Ghana Oil & Gas magazine) hosted the country’s first oil & Gas awards event to celebrate the very best of the Ghana Oil & Gas Industry. On that occasion, Seaweld won its first-ever award in the industry when it was named the Indigenous Company of the year 2014!
